It was pretty warm out today. I am not used to running in the heat. Luckily I hydrated well during the day before the run, but I did not eat enough. I was feeling pretty tired by the third mile. The fourth leg my stomach started hurting pretty bad. I had to stop at the Y to go to the bathroom. The wind was coming straight in my face the last two legs of the run at about 15 mph. This is the farthest I have run this year so far. It was a tough run and it felt like I was barely moving, but I didn’t ever stop to rest (other than the bathroom) and I am proud of that. I stretched really well before and after the run. I will probably take a day off tomorrow because this was a hard run.

Today I ran from my place down to Broadway over to Airport Road and down to Expressway. From there I ran over to 26th and all the way up 26th to Hillview, down through Hillside and home. I ran a little slower pace than I wanted, but the hills up 26th are the reason for that. It felt good to get some hills in.

I broke down and ran on a treadmill today. I went up to my mom’s place because the weather has been so crappy outside. I always feel like when I run on a treadmill I work a lot harder than I do when I am running outside. Today felt like I was running a 7:00 pace but that stupid machine told me I was only running an 8:47. Bullocks.
When I was done I did my sets of push ups and then a few extra sets just for good measure and then I did some sit ups with this ab roller thing my dad has. I stretched really well when I was done running. Also, before and after I ran, I did a five minute walk to warm up and cool down.

This was my first time on my road bike with the new pedals. Actually, this was my first time on my road bike this year at all. The wind was blowing about 30 mph, so I just rode it home from Epic.
It kind of felt small which worries me. I don’t know if I bought the right size bike when I was shopping for them. I did some searching online and found some pretty specific information talking about how to fit yourself for a road bike and after doing that work I found that my bike is the right size. I’m going to go into Epic and see what they think.
